WINDOWS 11 FREE OR PAID

The question that everybody seems to be asking is if Microsoft will follow a similar pricing strategy and it did with windows 10.
When windows 10 was launched anyone with a PC running on either Windows 7 or 8 would receive a free upgrade to Windows 10. As at 2015 before the release of windows 10 there were only about 500,000 Windows 8 or 8.1 apps available, compared to 1.3 million for Apple’s iOS and 1.4 million for the Google-owned Android.
Microsoft realized more software options tends to mean more users and if they want more software options for Windows devices, they have to convince developers Windows is worth their time.
Getting everyone to jump to the new OS was critical step to realize this.

How much will Windows 11 cost?

Here is how much it costs to currently upgrade to Windows 10:

Windows 10 Home - £119.99/US$139
Windows 10 Pro - £219.99/US$199.99
Windows 10 Pro for Workstations – £339/US$309

For those who will be getting new PCs they won't have to worry. we're also expecting various hardware manufacturers to embrace the launch as a new opportunity to drive PC sales. Upcoming PCs could come with Windows 11 preinstalled or readily available as a free upgrade.
For the rest of us, we have to wait for Microsoft as far as the pricing of Windows 11 is concerned. There’s a chance that Windows 11 will be a free “upgrade” for Windows 10 users.
